At Easy Access, we’ve always believed in designing and making ladders to the highest quality standard. Something different, robust and a ladder that tradies will trust and keep coming back to. That belief is exactly what led to the creation of the Warthog ladder range, one of New Zealand’s toughest and most trusted ladder brands
For years, Warthog ladders have been trusted by builders, sparkies, painters, contractors, and crews across the country because they’re designed differently. Stronger. More stable. Built to last.
Where It All Started
The Warthog journey began in 2005, when our team came across a small manufacturing business near Northland producing forestry ladders and an early welded ladder prototype. Straight away, we saw something different in the design.
At the time, most ladders on the market relied on riveted construction. But this ladder was fully welded, making it noticeably stronger and more rigid underfoot. We knew there was potential to create a premium trade ladder designed specifically for hardworking Kiwi tradies.
That’s where Warthog was born
The name itself was inspired by the A-10 Warthog military aircraft, famous for its toughness, durability, and ability to perform in extreme conditions. That same thinking became the foundation of the Warthog ladder range: serious grunt for serious work.
What Makes Warthog Different?
What sets Warthog apart is its fully welded construction.
Unlike standard riveted ladders that can loosen and flex over time, Warthog ladders are designed for maximum strength and rigidity. The difference is something tradies notice immediately when using one on-site.
The range also features Warthog’s signature splayed-leg design, helping improve stability while keeping the step width consistent from top to bottom. Combined with heavy-duty materials and robust manufacturing, the result is a ladder built for demanding trade environments.
Proudly Made in New Zealand
One of the things we’re most proud of is continuing to manufacture Warthog ladders right here in New Zealand.
By keeping manufacturing local, we’re able to maintain strict quality control, continue innovating, and work closely with the tradies who use our products every day.
That direct connection to the market has helped us continue improving the Warthog range over the years while staying focused on what matters most: safety, durability, and performance.
