What Makes the MOBI System Unique?

Our Easy Access MOBI System is unlike any other mobile scaffold on the market. Instead of adapting a standard scaffold design, we built MOBI from the ground up around how trades actually work on site: getting to the job, setting up quickly, and adjusting as the work changes. The result is a system with fewer parts, less hassle and more flexibility than you'd expect from a scaffold this compact.

At first glance it looks simply, and that's the point. A few clever design choices change how the whole system is carried, climbed, assembled and set to height. Here's what sets MOBI apart.

300mm Rung Spacing

Our MOBI frames feature 300 mm rung spacing, compared with the wider 500mm rung spacing commonly found on standard scaffold frames.

This means the frame itself can be climbed like a ladder, reducing the need to carry a separate long access ladder.

The rungs are also serrated for additional grip, making them practical for climbing and everyday use on site.

More Flexibility with Platform Height

The 300 mm rung spacing also gives you more options when positioning the platform compared with the standard 500mm rung spacing on most other scaffold frames.

This becomes even more flexible when combined with our MOBI castors, which provide up to 300mm of height adjustment.

Together, the rung spacing and castor adjustment make it easier to fine-tune the scaffold to the job's required working height. In fact, you can adjust the platform to the cm, rather than to the nearest half meter. That's ultimate flexibility.

Built-In Access Without a Separate Ladder

Some mobile scaffold systems use an internal ladder that's built into the frame. This can get in the way when installing platforms or require the end frames to be positioned a certain way.

With MOBI, the climbing access is built directly into the frame so you can climb up either side, anywhere on the inside of the frames. You don't have to think about where to position the platforms to line up with the ladder like other models. A real convenience.

Scaffolds with an internal ladder built into the frame also make it harder to install the platforms as the inbuilt ladder blocks the platform from passing through the frame, causing a more time-consuming and sometimes frustrating setup. There is just less to think about during assembly.

Unique Snap Lock Graspers for Faster, Easier Assembly

Our MOBI System features unique Snap Lock Graspers, a smart and durable locking system designed to make scaffold assembly quicker and easier.

Many traditional brace systems require you to manually pull back a pin or latch, hold it open, and then line it up over the frame. Our Snap Lock system does away with that extra step.

Simply pull the trigger back, and the grasper locks into a half-open position. Push it onto the frame rung, and it automatically snaps shut and locks securely into place.

You don't have to reach the end of the brace to operate a locking pin, so braces and guardrails can be fitted from a comfortable reach, often from the platform below.

This means quicker setup, less awkward stretching and a secure connection you can hear lock into place.

Our Snap Lock Graspers are also built for long-term durability. While springs in some traditional locking systems can wear or loosen over time, our Snap Lock system is designed to maintain a firm, reliable locking action through repeated use.

Thicker Aluminum Frames for Extra Strength and Stability

Not all aluminium scaffold frames are built the same.

Our MOBI System features a 2.3 mm aluminum wall thickness, compared with the typical 1.6 mm wall thickness found in many other aluminum scaffold systems in New Zealand.

This thicker-wall construction gives our frames a more solid, sturdy feel, providing additional durability and stability for everyday use on site.

Combined with our fully welded frame design, this makes MOBI a robust scaffold system built to handle the demands of professional trades.

Easier to Transport

Our MOBI Full Ladder Frames are 2m high and are available in 800mm and 1,400mm widths. This height is lower than average for mobile scaffolding which means the end frames (which are the bulkiest component) can fit in a trailer or van where other models are too long.

Because the climbing access is built into the frame, there is no need to transport a separate bulky ladder with the scaffold.

For trades moving between sites, that means fewer separate components to load, unload and carry.

So, to summarise, what makes MOBI different?

We've designed the MOBI frame around practical everyday use.

Key advantages include:

  • 300 mm rung spacing for more platform-height options

  • Serrated rungs for climbing access

  • No separate internal ladder getting in the way

  • Simpler assembly

  • Unique Snap Lock Graspers for quicker brace installation, secure locking and easier assembly

  • 2.3 mm aluminum wall thickness compared with the typical 1.6 mm, providing a sturdier, more durable frame

  • Up to 300 mm castor adjustment

  • A compact system that is easier to transport

  • Made in NZ with all replacement parts available

  • Built Tough: Fully welded frame with thicker-wall extrusion for extra durability and stability

  • Free training: Available for larger teams after purchase (subject to availability)

  • Long-term value: Designed for daily professional use and backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty

It is a simple design difference, but one that makes our Easy Access MOBI System more practical, flexible and easy to use on site.
