Safety Policy

Easy Access scaffold systems are designed and tested to the requirements of AS/NZS 1576. Operators should be familiar with the Best Practice Guidelines for Scaffolding published by Scaffolding & Rigging NZ and should receive training in the erection and use of scaffolding prior to use.

Safety at heights is a big issue worldwide as Safety Organisations scramble to reduce the regular occurrance of falls from heights. In some cases this has meant replacing ladders as the preferred means of reaching a workspace. This has led to difficulties finding a suitable, simple and user friendly replacement.

This dilemma largely brought about the invention and development of the Stabull Work platform – a fully adjustable (both in length and height) one piece, lightweight and easily folded and transported work platform with full handrail options.

Safe use of ladders has also meant that all ladders should pass a warrant of fitness check every 6-12 months. Easy Access created a division called 'Laddersafe' to provide this to tradespeople. It soon became obvious that ordinary rivited and swaged rung ladders simply were not lasting the distance, becoming looser and looser the more the user stood on them.

Thus the Warthog "serious grunt" Welded Ladder was born. With a 180kg load rating and a 'Bullet proof' 10 year guarantee this ladder is no mean ladder. It requires 24 tests to determine a ladder rating and in most cases the test weights applied are 4 times the rating.180 Kg is almost unheard of in the ladder scene.

Will not loosen with wear and tear. Whilst this ladder weighs no more than any other ladder it has fully welded rungs without any rivets that can loosen and 'box section' stiles that provide much greater torsional 'twist' strength than the common 'C' channel section stiles.

Splayed feet stability. All Warthog ladders have splayed feet for greater stability. Many accidents on ladders occur when a user leans out at the top.

Nothing to snag and tear off. Together with these structural features the Warthog range of aluminium ladders have no protruding elements to catch and snag on roof racks or the insides of vans which is another common ailment with common ladders.

Safest, most comfortable steps. The Warthog's unique double rung steps give exceptional grip even in muddy conditions, however if you're working in your socks the 'Cushion Grip' rubber inserts slot neatly between the rungs for the most comfortable step on the market.

Giraffe Aluminium Multi Mobile Scaffolding is designed in all areas for self explanatory user friendliness. Simple components that de-mystify scaffolding. The safety of a scaffold is inherent in the simplicity of its design. Easy for anyone to set up and use.

NOTE: It is important for anyone setting up and/or using scaffolding to be familiar with approved practices. These can easily be sourced from DOL (OSH) and also from SARNZ (scaffolding and rigging association of NZ).
